When it gets to this time of year I reach for a handful of records that give me a sensation of comfort, of warmth, of a quiet, gentle energy. Songs where the details are really celebrated and amplified but don’t seek to overwhelm. Sometimes that comes from a record because we know it so well, sometimes it’s deeply ingrained in the production and the notes.

I really wanted to try and create one of those records for you. Something of my own to add to an undefined genre. Something you could keep and enjoy forever, even if only for a few months each year.

This is that album. I really hope you will love it. I hope you’ll hear the turning of seasons in it. The magic of nature, the sadness of endings but the energy of the potential of new beginnings and the brilliance of the last colourful burst of beauty we get when autumn reaches its peak.
